Permanent Real Ales
Our philosophy at The Orange Tree is to always have a permanent choice of certain ales to meet most ale-lover's desires, and to have alongside them some constantly changing Indie Brewer ales for those who want to try something different!
We have 9 handpumps, 7 of which are free of tie and we ONLY serve beers from small, independent breweries (apart from the occasional Draught Bass if we can get it!). We also have a free of tie Keg Indie beer line for something cooler and different, and six Real Cider lines.
We have 3 permanent Real Ciders - Weston's Old Rosie (6.8% Dry), Rosie's Pig (4.5% Sweet) and Rosie's Pig Rhubarb (4% Sweet), and 3 ever-changing guests from small producers.

Mouth-filling premium bitter with sweet wisps of malt and caramel and, in the mouth, a stirring mix of sweet malt and redcurrant with underpinning hops and caramel. Hop bitterness holds up well in a predominantly malty fruity finish.
Creamy copper-coloured bitter with a well-balanced easy drinking meld of soft biscuity maltiness, red fruit and lemon. A gentle hoppiness adds contrast and there are hints of caramel. Sweetness tapers and a light bitter malty finish ensues.
Smooth ruby-brown mild with a restrained malty, fruity aroma and an impressive light bitter-sweet balance of fruit and malt.

This amber beer has a floral/hoppy character, hops predominate throughout before finally yielding to grapefruit in the lasting dry finish.

Dark brown with fruity spangles on the nose. Sweet plum fruitiness gives way to a gentle malty bitter finish with some cherry sides.
